MINNEAPOLIS (November 13, 2009)—Police in Minneapolis are investigating after workers at a daycare center found a 13-month-old boy sucking on a ball of crack cocaine this week.

The boy was sent to a hospital where he was checked out.

He apparently suffered no ill effects.

The toddler evidently found the crack wrapped in some sort of plastic on the floor of the daycare’s infant room.

The seal of the wrapping wasn’t broken so it appears the toddler didn’t actually ingest any of the drug.

Police said the crack might have fallen out of someone’s pocket.

The daycare is adding security cameras and staff members are undergoing random drug testing in the wake of the incident.

No charges have been filed.

Why don't they screen the parents TOO, it could have fallen out of any one of their pockets. There are so many avenues that need to be taken to do a complete shake down.
