PHOENIX (January 14, 2010)—Sheriff’s deputies arrested an Arizona woman who authorities say traded her 2-year-old daughter for a gun.

Maricopa County sheriff's deputies arrested Tanya Nareau, 33, of Mesa, Ariz. on Tuesday after receiving a tip.

Deputies say they spoke with a family friend who had the child and confirmed Nareau gave the girl to him in exchange for a gun.

Deputies say Nareau felt the friend would do a better job raising the child than she would.

Nareau has been charged with the unlawful sale of a child and solicitation to possess a weapon by a prohibited person, authorities said.

She got arrested???...shocking. ya think??? at least she had the good sense to know that if she couldn't care for the child she gave it to someone who would try...she didn't deserve it anyhow, there are literally thousands of people who want children and can't have them and then you have those people who have them and don't want them, whats wrong with this picture????
