7-Eleven To Sell 30 Stores In Upstate New York

BUFFALO, N.Y. (August 14, 2012)—Dallas-based convenience store giant 7-Eleven plans to sell 30 of its former Wilson Farms stores in upstate New York.

The Buffalo News reported that the company has hired a Chicago-based realty firm to sell the stores through a sealed-bid process that starts Wednesday and ends Oct. 18.

7-Eleven announced the auction in a news release from NRC Realty and Capital Advisors LLC.

Company officials didn't elaborate on the reasons for the sale.

7-Eleven bought Buffalo-based Wilson Farm's 188-store New York network last year from a private equity firm and the Nanula family.

The 30 stores to be sold are situated from Fredonia south of Buffalo to Chazy, near the Canadian border in northern New York.

Six of locations are convenience stores only, while the other 24 also sell gasoline.
