CAMARILLO, Calif. (January 14, 2013)--The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has surged seven cents in the last three weeks, according to the Lundberg Survey of fuel prices, which puts the price of a gallon of regular at $3.32.
Midgrade costs an average of $3.50 a gallon, and premium is $3.63.
Diesel remained unchanged at $3.96 a gallon.
Of the places surveyed in the lower 48 states, Salt Lake City has the nation's lowest average price at $3.04. Long Island, N.Y. has the highest at $3.75.
