(February 18, 2013)--Burger King's Twitter account evidently was hacked late Monday morning.
Just after 11 a.m. CST, the fast-foot company's Twitter picture was changed to a McDonald's logo, and the account tweeted that it had been sold to rival McDonald's.
Posts from the account contained racial epithets, references to drug use and obscenities.
The account also tweeted,"If I catch you at a wendys, we're fightin!"
A spokesman for Burger King said the restaurant chain doesn't know who hacked the account.
The company saidno other social media accounts were affected.
At the beginning of this month, Twitter acknowledged that cyber attackers may have stolen user names and passwords of 250,000 users.
