AMARILLO (June 14, 2013)—Erin Dawn Trevathan, 26, who worked as a loan officer at a credit union in the Texas Panhandle for more than two years, has been sentenced to three years in prison for faking documents and stealing about $442,000.
A federal judge Thursday in Amarillo sentenced Trevathan and ordered her to repay the money.
The Amarillo woman pleaded guilty in April to fraud related to federal credit union entries.
Investigators say Trevathan was the sole loan officer at the Pampa Teachers Federal Credit Union from mid-2008 until December 2010.
An audit revealed problems.
Trevathan then told investigators she made false entries and stole cash for her personal use.
