CAMARILLO, Calif. (February 25, 2013)--The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline jumped 20 cents over the past two weeks, according to the Lundberg Survey of fuel prices, which says the price of a gallon of regular is $3.80.
Midgrade costs an average of $3.95 a gallon, and premium is $4.09.
Diesel was up a dime to $4.17 gallon.
Of the cities surveyed in the lower 48 states, Billings, Mont., had the nation's lowest average price for gas at $3.23 and Los Angeles had the highest at $4.29.
