WACO (October 11, 2013)--Hawaiian Falls Water Park in Waco hopes to expand, adding an adventure park and a campground, spokesman David Alvey said Friday.
The proposed expansion would cost roughly $5 million and would include an RV Park that backs up to the Bosque River.
The plan also calls for volleyball courts, two new playgrounds, a nature trail and a zip-line course.
Hawaiian Falls officials presented the plan Thursday to Waco's city Park and Recreation Board.
A public hearing will be held on the plan on Nov. 14.
If Hawaiian Falls gets a green light, the expansion would be completed by the spring of 2015, Alvey said.
