DALLAS (July 22, 2013)—Independent Mary Kay Inc. consultants from around the world will be in Dallas to help celebrate the beauty care company's 50th anniversary, whose convention runs through Aug. 7.
President and CEO David Holl, who joined the company in 1993, describes founder Mary Kay Ash, who died in 2001, as "an absolute rock star."
Ash and her son, Richard Rogers, started Beauty by Mary Kay in a 500-square-foot industrial storefront in Dallas.
Mary Kay products, known for their pink containers, are now sold in more than 50 countries.
