AUSTIN (February 22, 2013)--National Instruments Corp. plans to spend $80 million to expand its Texas research and development complex and create about 1,000 technical and engineering jobs in the process.
Austin-based National Instruments will receive $4.4 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund.
Gov. Rick Perry announced the funding in support of the company's plan, which includes building a 300,000-square-foot facility adjacent to its current site.
National Instruments, which designs and manufactures electronic measurement hardware and software, operates in more than 40 countries.
