Price At The Pump Continues To Drop In Texas

HOUSTON (November 8, 2012)--Retail gasoline prices across Texas dropped by 7 cents this week, according to AAA-Texas, which reported Thursday that the average price at the pump slipped to $3.23 per gallon.

Gasoline prices nationwide also declined, falling a nickel to settle at $3.46 per gallon.

The association survey found that El Paso has the most expensive gasoline statewide at $3.38 per gallon while Beaumont has the cheapest gasoline at $3.14 per gallon.

AAA said power outages and distribution issues after Hurricane Sandy led to long lines at some gas stations in New York and New Jersey in the past week.

The association says once electricity is restored there should be more than adequate gasoline supplies ready for delivery.
