Price At The Pump Drifts Up In Texas

HOUSTON (March 21, 2013)--Retail gasoline prices across Texas increased 3 cents this week, AAA-Texas reported Thursday.

AAA said the average price at the pump reached $3.57 per gallon in Texas.

The national average was down a penny to settle at $3.69 per gallon.

The association survey found Beaumont has the cheapest gasoline statewide at $3.44 per gallon while Fort Worth has the most expensive retail gasoline in Texas at $3.68 per gallon.

Texas drivers on average are paying 18 cents per gallon less than a year ago.

AAA says crude oil prices have posted slight gains in recent weeks as a result of positive economic news.
