HOUSTON (April 18, 2013)--Retail gasoline prices across Texas fell 6 cents this week to settle at $3.39 per gallon, AAA-Texas reported Thursday.
AAA said the statewide price at the pump is less than the national average of $3.51 per gallon.
The association survey found that Beaumont has the cheapest gasoline in Texas at $3.26 per gallon while nearby Houston had the most expensive gasoline statewide this week at $3.43 per gallon.
AAA says retail gasoline prices across the country fell as refinery crews completed seasonal maintenance and ramped up their production.
Crude oil prices also were sharply lower and weak demand and signs of economic weakness also softened prices.
