HOUSTON (September 27, 2012)--Retail gasoline prices in Texas are down 7 cents this week in part because of the end of the summer driving season, AAA-Texas reported Thursday.
AAA-Texas said that the average price of regular unleaded was $3.58.
The national average is $3.79.
Travel agency officials say that while pump prices are higher than a year ago, they are coming down because of the end of summer and the resolution of regional supply and distribution issues.
In Texas, Amarillo has the most expensive gas at $3.63, while Corpus Christi is the cheapest at $3.51.
