HOUSTON (December 13, 2012)—AAA-Texas reported Thursday that average price at the pump in the state was $3.09 per gallon, down a nickel.
The association's weekly survey found national prices declined 8 cents to settle at $3.30 per gallon.
Fort Worth has the cheapest gasoline statewide this week at $3.03 per gallon while the most expensive gasoline was in Amarillo at $3.14 per gallon.
The association said retail prices have steadily declined because of lower crude oil prices and because U.S. demand for gasoline continues to be low, while inventories are high.
