HAWTHORNE, Calif. (September 25, 2012)--Tesla Motors says within two years it will blanket "almost the entire United States" with solar-powered charging stations, the first six of which were unveiled in California.

The free stations are designed to charge Tesla's new Model S sedan fully in about an hour.

The company says drivers can get a 150-mile trip out of a half-hour-long charge.
