AUSTIN (November 27, 2013) The state’s first $5 million second-tier Mega Millions Megaplier winner bought the winning ticket at a Sac-N-Pac store in Buda.
The ticket matched the five numbers and the Megaplier, but not the Mega Ball, the Texas Lottery said.
“Texas was the first state to use a Megaplier for the Mega Millions game and we look forward to meeting the first $5 million second-tier Megaplier winner,” said Lottery Director Gary Grief.
No jackpot tickets were sold for Tuesday night’s drawing, so the estimated jackpot for the Friday drawing is $230 million.
The Megaplier is a $1 option that increases non-jackpot winnings.
