NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 4, 2013)--The actor who plays Jesus in the History Channel miniseries "The Bible" admits he panicked when he got the part.
Diogo Morgado told the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Nashville, Tenn., on the first of five weekends the 10-part series airs that he wondered, "How can you play Jesus Christ? How can you play the son of God? - You can't."
Morgado said just speaking the words of Jesus was a privilege that he's "still digesting."
The first two hours of "The Bible," starting in Genesis, were broadcast Sunday night on the History Channel and the rest will be shown each Sunday night this month, wrapping up on Easter Sunday.
