Actor’s Death Will Delay Production Of “Glee”

LOS ANGELES (July 20, 2013)--The death of “Glee” star Cory Monteith will delay production of the series, Fox TV said.

Fox said the show will go into production in early August and will begin its new season Sept. 26.

Monteith, 31, died of an overdose of heroin and alcohol.

His body was found on July 13 in a hotel room in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Monteith's character, Finn Hudson, had graduated from the high school where "Glee" is set, but remained part of the show.

It's not known how the fifth season of "Glee" will deal with Monteith's real-life death.
