BOSTON (November 6, 2012)--Boston University student Becca Emmetts had a good reason to miss her missing physics class Monday.
"Aerosmith was playing on my front stoop," she said.
Emmetts lives in the building where Aerosmith members lived in the early 1970s, and they chose that spot for a free lunchtime concert Monday.
Thousands of fans crowded the streets, hung out windows and stood on fire escapes and roofs on Commonwealth Avenue for the show.
A city plaque will be mounted on the front of the building in Aerosmith's honor.
Aerosmith was promoting voting in Tuesday's election and Tuesday’s release of the band’s "Music From Another Dimension" album.
