NEW YORK (April 29, 2013)--Richie Havens' ashes will be scattered at Max Yasgur's farm, the site of the historic concert that made him famous.
Havens' family say later this summer they will scatter his ashes at the site of Woodstock in 1969, which is now the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
Havens opened Woodstock and was onstage nearly three hours because many of the other performers were stuck in traffic.
Havens' family will take his ashes Monday night to the City Winery club in New York for an informal memorial open to the public.
