NEW YORK (October 1, 2012)--Barbra Streisand is putting out an album of unreleased material called "Release Me," pulled from several sessions over her career.
Streisand said she used to shelve a song if she sang even one word wrong, and in those days producers would do two or three takes.
Streisand said she kept the shelved songs in a "black box." but the Internet opened her eyes.
She says some of those songs were taken from the Sony vault and ended up on YouTube, and she realized they were pretty good.
"Release Me" is due out on Oct. 9.
