NEW ORLEANS (November 30, 2012)--The Beach Boys and the English rock band Bad Company will headline a free concert the night before next month's New Orleans Bowl game.

The show will be The Beach Boys' second in New Orleans this year.

The "Good Vibrations" Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band performed at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in April.

The New Orleans Bowl will be played Dec. 22 at 11 a.m.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, representing the Sun Belt Conference for the second year in a row, will play either Rice or East Carolina, depending on the outcome of Saturday's Conference USA championship game.

The free concert will take be on Dec. 21 at 5:30 p.m. in Champion's Square, the open-air space outside the Superdome.
