LOS ANGELES (January 21, 2013)—Paul Dano, the brother who refused to speak in "Little Miss Sunshine," will play Beach Boy oBrian Wilson in a biopic about Wilson's life.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that Dano has been cast as Wilson in the film "Love and Mercy."

The script will focus on Wilson's mental illness and relationship with his wife Melinda.

Dano will portray Wilson as a young man.

The older Wilson has not yet been cast.

Wilson's music will be used in the film, which will start shooting in early summer.
