ATLANTA (October 30, 2012)--Authorities in the Atlanta area are trying to determine why a member of the group Blaque was standing in a street when she was hit by a car and killed over the weekend.
Natina Reed was on a road near Linburn, Ga. when she was hit.
Authorities say the driver wasn't at fault and no charges were filed.
The only witnesses to the incident were the driver and a passenger.
Reed, 32, was the rapper in the 1990s female singing group that had hits with the songs "808" and "Bring It All To Me."
After the group faded from the music scene, Reed did some acting, appearing in the 2000 movie "Bring It On."
She died two days before her 33rd birthday.
Reed is survived by a son, Tren, who was born during a relationship with fellow rapper Kurupt.
In a message on Twitter, Kurupt called Reed's death "a tremendous loss to our family."
