OCALA, Fla. (March 20, 2013)—Country singer-songwriter David Allen Coe was recovering Wednesday from injuries from a traffic accident early Tuesday in Ocala, Florida.
The Ocala Star-Banner quoted police as saying Coe ran a red light while driving a 2011 Suburban, which hit an 18-wheeler hauling a load of radishes and corn.
The rig turned on its side and spilled its contents.
Coe's road manager, Bruce Smith, said Coe is "doing OK."
A passenger in the 18-wheeler was treated and later released, but the truck driver was in serious condition.
