NEW YORK (January 31, 2013)--Doors drummer John Densmore is writing a book about his legal fight with the rest of the band after they broke up.
"The Doors: Unhinged" will explore Densmore's attempts to protect the integrity of the band's legacy by vetoing huge offers to use their music in commercials and suing Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger for touring without him under The Doors name.
Densmore says at one point, opposing lawyers tried to label him a communist, an anarchist and an al-Qaeda supporter.
The book is due out on April 17.
