NASHVILLE (July 30, 2013)--The new album from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros would have come out a year ago if things had gone as planned, but they didn’t.
Frontman Alex Ebert says he's glad he waited to release the self-titled album because so much happened in that year.
He said even an hour made a difference, because he came up with the song "Life Is Hard" while taking a break from mixing the album.
Some of the songs are from the sessions for their "Here" debut album, and Sharpe initially was going to make that a double album, but instead decided to release those as a second album a few months later until time got away from him.
