(October 30, 2012)--Green Day won't tour anytime soon, but they'll make up for it by releasing the third album of their trilogy sooner than expected.
The band has called off all concerts for the rest of the year and will postpone a planned arena tour next year, clearing the schedule through Feb. 8, 2013.
Bassist Mike Dirnt says the well being of singer Billie Joe Armstrong is their main concern.
He said Armstrong is doing well in his attempts to kick substance abuse.
Green Day will move up the release of "Tre" to Dec. 11, more than a month ahead of schedule.
"Dos" comes out on Nov. 13.
