Human Rights Concert Set For New York

NEW YORK (February 5, 2014) Ahead of the start of the Winter Olympics Friday in Sochi, Russia, a concert will be held Wednesday night in New York in part to call attention to alleged human rights violations in the host country.

Among the acts taking part in the "Bring Human Rights Home" performance sponsored by Amnesty International are Imagine Dragons, The Flaming Lips, Lauryn Hill, The Fray, Tegan and Sara and Colbie Caillat.

Amnesty International held Human Rights Concerts from 1986 to 1998 with such performers as Bruce Springsteen, Sting and Peter Gabriel.
