LONDON (March 8, 3013)—Teen idol Justin Bieber spent a few hours in a London hospital after fainting backstage during a concert Thursday night and then had a dust up with paparazzi who were hurling insults at him, responding with a stream of expletives of his own as members of his staff restrained him.
Bieber said he was "getting better" after struggling to breathe during Thursday night's concert and he pledged that Friday night’s show would go on as planned.
Tweeting about the confrontation with the photographers, Bieber said he'd let them "get the best of me."
He said it had been a "rough week," and that he's only human.
Video footage from last night's concert showed Bieber appearing to fade during a performance of his up-tempo hit "Beauty and a Beat."
He slowed down, put a hand to his head and bent over, before walking slowly to the back of the stage.
A concertgoer said Bieber later returned to perform low-energy renditions of his hits "Boyfriend" and "Baby."
At the start of the week, Bieber had to apologize to outraged fans who accused him of taking the stage almost two hours late.
