(December 30, 2011)—Country star Kelly Clarkson has cast her lot with Texas Congressman Ron Paul, who’s taking a run at the GOP presidential nomination.
But her support has drawn some flak and Clarkson is backtracking, according to E! Online.
In a posting on whosay, Clarkson apologized for offending anyone by her support of Paul, whom some opponents have branded as a racist who has issues with gays.
In her post, Clarkson said she's against racism and is for "gay rights, straight rights, women's rights, men's rights, white/black/purple/orange rights."
And she still says of all the GOP candidates, she still supports Paul.
