Larry King Picked To Help Rule The Roasts

NEW YORK (January 15, 2014) Longtime TV and radio host Larry King will soon help rule the roasts as the new dean of the century-old Friars Club, which is famous for its raunchy celebrity tributes.

The Friars announced Wednesday that King will succeed Freddie Roman and serve for the next two years.

King, 80, will assist Friars Club abbot Jerry Lewis and the board of directors in overseeing the roasts, dinners and other events.

Previous Friars deans include radio personality William B. Williams and vaudeville star Harry Delf.
