Lawrence, Day-Lewis Win Top Acting Prizes at SAG Awards

LOS ANGELES (January 28, 2013)--Jennifer Lawrence of the oddball romance "Silver Linings Playbook" and Daniel Day-Lewis of the Civil War epic "Lincoln" have won lead-acting prizes at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Lawrence won for her role as a troubled widow in a shaky new relationship, while Day-Lewis was honored for the title role as Abraham Lincoln.

The supporting film awards y went to Anne Hathaway of "Les Miserables" and Tommy Lee Jones of "Lincoln."

The wins lift their prospects for the same prizes at the Feb. 24 Academy Awards.
