TEMPLE (December 18, 2013) The Cinemark Temple and XD Theater opens its doors Friday at 4501 South General Bruce Dr. in Temple.
The theater has twelve screens and seven are 3D.
There's a cafeteria-style concession stand and for moviegoers 21 and older there's a bar with beer, wine and cocktails.
"The theater itself is what I would call more of an entertainment destination, sure you're going to see your big Hollywood blockbusters here but you're going to be able to enjoy a lot of the independent and art movies too," Cinemark Vice-President of Marketing and Communications James Meredith said.
On Saturday, Cinemark is partnering with Food for Families for a food drive.
Customers who bring in a can of food will get free popcorn and a drink.
Also on Saturday there will be a free screening of the Christmas classic 'It's a Wonderful Life,' and Santa will stop by at 12 p.m. for pictures.
