OTTUMWA, Iowa (September 20, 2013)—Ottumwa, Iowa is making a push to convince Mumford and Sons to perform in the small city.
Organizers of the effort got residents to perform to the folk rock band's songs to urge them to come.
The promotional clip, which features both city leaders and students, is being cobbled together from about six hours of footage.
Once the video is completed, it will be sent to the band.
The video features the band's hit song, "I Will Wait," but changes the words to "We can't wait."
It's unclear whether all of this work will pay off, however.
A publicist for the group says Mumford and Sons is done touring this year after a show tonight in Kansas.
