AUSTIN (March 13, 2014) Grammy-winner Tejano performer Sunny Sauceda and country music singer Kevin Fowler have recorded public service ads for the 2014 Don’t Mess with Texas campaign.
“It’s an honor to be part of this great campaign,” Fowler said.
“There’s nothing I love more than Texas, and I’m excited to spread the word about keeping our great state litter-free.”
A study in 2013 found that visible litter along more than 80,000 miles of state-maintained roadways was down 34 percent from 2009.
But cleanup, on average, still costs taxpayers more than $40 million a year, officials say.
