OKLAHOMA CITY (August 23, 2013)--Rapper 2 Chainz was free on bond Friday after his arrest in a strange standoff Wednesday with police in Oklahoma City.
The rapper performed there Wednesday with Lil Wayne and T.I., and following the show, his bus was pulled over by authorities just after midnight for what police say was an illegal taillight.
Police also say they suspected there was drug use on the bus, but what sparked the suspicion.
The driver was removed from the bus and was taken into custody, but when officers tried to get to the passengers, they encountered a locked interior door.
The rapper and 10 others were on the other side and they refused to come out.
Police ended up towing the bus with the 11 people inside to a training facility, while waiting for a warrant.
Once the warrant arrived, all 11 were arrested on obstruction charges.
Police say they did find drugs on the bus, but can’t link them to any specific person.
Authorities said more charges could be filed in the case later.
Earlier this year, 2 Chainz was acquitted of marijuana charges filed after a traffic stop on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
