ATLANTA (March 27, 2013)--Georgia rapper Gucci Mane was denied bond Wednesday and remains jailed on charges stemming from an alleged attack at a downtown Atlanta nightclub.
A fan accused the rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, of smashing a champagne bottle over his head on March 16 in the club's V.I.P. area.
The man said he was trying to take a picture with Davis at the time.
The injured fan was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and says he required 10 stitches.
Davis was in custody on a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon and appeared in court Wednesday.
The rapper's attorney Drew Findling, told WSB-TV that Davis' criminal history made it difficult for a judge to set bond.
Fulton County jail records show Davis has been arrested 10 times since 2005.
