Record Store Day Celebrates Indie Retailers

NEW YORK (April 19, 2013)--Paramore, Anthrax, John Densmore of The Doors, Steve Earle, Opeth, Billy Bragg and Jimmy Eat World are among the performers that will support Record Store Day Saturday by showing up at record stores across the country.

Record Store Day is a day on which musicians release special products only to independent music stores, to help out small businesses.

Usually the items are a limited run, and they're not available at all stores.

Among the acts doing special issues for Record Store Day are the Flaming Lips, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Keys, Linkin Park, Cream, King Crimson, Rob Zombie, Eric Church, David Bowie, Fitz and the Tantrums, Imagine Dragons and Mumford and Sons.
