"SNL” Skit About Jesus Draws Fires From Muslim Group

WASHINGTON (February 21, 2013)--A Muslim advocacy group is deploring a “Saturday Night Live” skit that parodied the movie "Django Unchained."

Council on American-Islamic Relations spokesman Ibrahim Hooper said CAIR doesn't normally respond to comedic works, even those that are offensive, but says to portray Jesus as a mass murderer "goes beyond the pale."

Hooper said the depiction was offensive not only to Christians, but also to those of other faiths, including Muslims, who revere Jesus.
