Service Held For Mindy McCready

FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 27, 2013)--Mindy McCready was remembered Tuesday by her mom as a fun person and a talented singer who "felt helpless" and "so tired" from all that was going on in her life.

About 200 family members and friends attended the service at a Baptist church in the singer’s hometown of Fort Myers, Fla.

Behind the altar was a screen filled with images of the singer.

McCready committed suicide on Feb 17 at her home in Arkansas.

She was 37.

Her death came days after she left a court-ordered substance abuse treatment program.

The mother of two died from a single gunshot to the head about a month after the death of her longtime boyfriend David Wilson.

He died in the same place, and his death is also believed to have been a suicide.

Meanwhile, a separate funeral organized by friends and fellow musicians is tentatively set for Monday in Nashville, Tenn.
