NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 22, 2013)—A funeral service for country signer Mindy McCready will be held Tuesday in Fort Myers, Fla., McCready’s hometown.

The funeral at Crossroads Church will be private.

A memorial service organized by friends and the music community is tentatively scheduled for March 6 at Cathedral of the Incarnation, a news release issued Friday said.

McCready, 37, committed suicide Sunday at her home in Heber Springs, Ark., days after leaving a court-ordered substance abuse treatment program.

The mother of two died from a single gunshot to the head about a month after her longtime boyfriend David Wilson killed himself in the same place.
