LAS VEGAS (April 20, 2014) Mexican singer Juan Gabriel was resting Sunday, but plans to resume his tour concerts May 1 after he was released from a Las Vegas hospital.
Gabriel, 64, was admitted to the hospital last Monday with pneumonia after performing a three-hour concert Sunday at the Mandalay Bay resort on the Las Vegas Strip as part of his "Volver" tour.
He was discharged Friday afternoon.
He was rushed to intensive care with fluid in his lungs
He was forced to postpone three shows because of the hospitalization.
Gabriel is one of the best-selling Latin recording artists of all time.
