Stones Hit NY For 50th Anniversary Gig

NEW YORK (December 8, 2012)—At an average age of 68-plus years, the Rolling Stones are clearly in fighting form and they sounded tight, focused and truly ready for the spotlight at concerts last month.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts hit New York City's new Barclays Center Saturday for the first of three U.S. shows on their mini-tour.

Two more shows are set for next week in Newark, N.J.

Next week the Stones join other superstars at a Sandy benefit concert at Madison Square Garden.

Also scheduled to perform are Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and Chris Martin.
