NEW ORLEANS (February 1, 2013)--The entertainment in New Orleans kicks off Friday night with the NFL's Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, hosted by Sherri Shepherd of ABC's "The View" and Grammy-winning gospel musician Kirk Franklin.

Baltimore Ravens star Ray Lewis is being honored with a "Lifetime of Inspiration" award during the event.

The gospel celebration will also include a performance by the NFL Players Choir of current and former football players and a performance by Lecrae, the Christian rapper NFL players have named this year's "Player's Choice" artist.

The concert at the University of New Orleans' Lakefront Arena also will feature Fantasia, Pastor Marvin Winans, Bishop Paul Morton and Donnie McClurkin.

The NFL's Super Bowl Gospel Celebration began in 1999 and each year donates a portion of proceeds and hundreds of tickets to local and national charities.
