NEW YORK (June 7, 2012)--Taylor Swift has never disclosed the true identity of the man in her song "Dear John," but rocker John Mayer is pretty sure it's about him.
In a new Rolling Stone interview Mayer called the track cheap songwriting, said it made him feel terrible and said he didn't deserve it.
According to Mayer, his former musical collaborator kicked him when he was already down.
The song from the multi-platinum "Speak Now' album lets loose on a former boyfriend, but Swift has never confirmed that the pair dated and when asked she refused to say the song is about Mayer whose first new album in three years, "Born and Raised," debuted as the nation's best-selling album last week.
