The Civil Wars: No Word On A Reunion

Print

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 21, 2012)—More than a year has passed since The Civil Wars announced they wouldn't be touring together anymore, but that may not mean an end to the music.

Joy Williams, half the duo, said in a Twitter chat that she was in the studio listening to new Civil Wars songs.

The group's manager, who’s Williams' husband, dropped some hints of his own, too, posting pictures of recording sessions on his Instagram account.

John Paul White, the other half of the group, isn’t talking, however.

At the time of the breakup, The Civil Wars said they hoped to release an album next year, but it's unclear whether the comments about new music is for that album or for a documentary score on which they are working.
