NEW YORK (October 26, 2012)--Michael Jackson is no longer the top-earning dead celebrity after Elizabeth Taylor has replaced him on top of the annual Forbes list.
Taylor's estate raked in $210 million dollars in the past year, most of which came from auctions of her jewels, clothes, artwork and memorabilia.
Jackson slipped to second with $145 million.
Elvis Presley is third, with $55 million, followed by cartoonist Charles Schulz and reggae legend Bob Marley who are tied with $17 million. John Lennon's $12 million is good enough for sixth place.
Marilyn Monroe is tied with Albert Einstein with $10 million.
Dr. Seuss is in ninth place with $9 million. Steve McQueen and Bettie Page are tied for 10th with $8 million.
Richard Rogers earned $6 million, a half million more than George Harrison.
