Ticket Scalpers Pass On Oklahoma Benefit Concert

NORMAN, Okla. (July 4, 2013)--A concert to benefit Oklahoma tornado victims includes some of the biggest names in country music, but because the proceeds are intended for charity, it isn’t attracting scalpers.

Oklahoma natives Toby Keith and Garth Brooks are among the performers in the star-studded lineup for Saturday's Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert at the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Several independent concert promoters not associated with the concert said that although scalping may technically be legal, making a profit off the misfortune of others is certainly in poor taste.

That’s why several ticket brokers such as StubHub declined to offer tickets for resale, and others were doing so only on a limited basis.
